Dr. Prem Krishna Mital was born and raised in New Delhi, India. Though he originally pursued a career as a Physicist, Dr. Mital became very impressed with Homeopathy and Naturopathy after a Homeopathic Physician relieved him of the burden of severe allergies that had distressed him from for a long time.
After graduating from college in India, Dr. Mital came to United States to study at the National College of Homeopathy in Portland, Oregon. He graduated with a doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine (N.D.) degree in 1978 and then became licensed by the State of Connecticut to practice Naturopathy. After working out of an office in Westport for some time, he relocated his clinic to Wilton where it remained for over two decades. In 1985, Connecticut’s governor O’Neill appointed him as a member of the ‘State Board of Naturopathic Examiners’.
Further down the road, Dr. Mital shared his knowledge with the community as the advisor to the Wilton Health and Homeopathy Study Group affiliated to the National Center for Homeopathy. Outside of his practice, Dr. Mital was a caring husband and father of two boys. His Hindu spirituality was bolstered with love and devotion for the Sri Chinmaya and the Sai Baba organizations.
In early 2003, Dr. Mital suffered from a debilitating health event from which he never recovered. He was doing what he loved until the end; the onset of the severe stroke occurred while he was treating a patient in his office.
